About Me
I am an Integrative Counsellor, qualified to Foundation Degree level. I have a desire to support people through difficult periods in their lives. Where times in life can sometimes feel like a heavy burden, and the weight of worries can be come too much to carry alone, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space.
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.
In addition to my hands-on experience in substance misuse and bereavement, I have pursued various training and educational opportunities to deepen my understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction and mental health. I have completed courses in trauma-informed care, effective communication strategies, and motivational interviewing techniques, all of which have equipped me with the skills necessary to provide compassionate and effective support.
Throughout my career, I have witnessed the resilience of individuals and families navigating the challenges of addiction, loss, and mental health issues. This has reinforced my belief in the importance of a holistic approach to support, one that recognises the interplay between emotional, social, and psychological factors. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients, enabling them to explore their feelings, set goals, and develop coping strategies.
My goal is to empower individuals and families to reclaim their lives and foster resilience in the face of adversity. I believe that everyone has the potential for change, and I am dedicated to being a supportive guide on that journey.
I am particularly passionate about working with addiction, neurodiversity, domestic abuse and all people who have experienced loss and grief. My experience of working with teens and adults in a local substance misuse service and volunteering at St Michael's Hospice in bereavement support has given me an understanding of the complexities a person can face.
I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your needs and see if we can begin the journey to improving your mental health and wellbeing.

My Philosophy
My counselling approach is rooted in integrative techniques, which involve selecting the most effective methods tailored to both the individual and their specific concerns. Integrative counsellors believe that by blending various strategies and approaches, we can offer greater benefits to the individual rather than relying on a single method.
